Our Story
We are seasoned boutique hospitality connoisseurs who met in 1998, working together at The Haciendas in Mexico — a joint venture project under the management company GHM Hotels & Resorts, a sister company of Amanresorts.
We have reunited to create TD Hoteliers. Our mission is to conceptualize, plan and execute truly unique boutique hotels by crafting world-class hospitality for owners and companies who share our mission of quality and excellence.
Project Development & Pre-opening support
We provide bespoke advisory services for hospitality projects creating the concept, philosophy & guest experience, setting the service standards and reviewing and giving recommendations for the Master plan and design.
We lend technical guidance and assistance during the pre-opening within the agreed development and design programs and will advise owners and their consultants on the standards, aesthetics, services, and systems necessary to achieve the defined concept and level of service standards set.
We assist formulating the pre-opening plans and schedules to guide all parties until opening of the hotel.
Business plan & Company organization
We develop the business plan for the project detecting the opportunities, risks and challenges to help to realize its full potential.
We set up the management structure and guide for the overall operations of the property, defining all the departments and establish procedures and standards of operations.
We assist the operations team in the implementation of the standard operating procedures set and review services and scopes.
FINANCIAL & LEGAL CONSULTATION
We have access to a network of experts in the fields of finance and legal aspects to serve your project.
Branding & positioning
We define the branding & positioning and develop a branding philosophy based on the vision of the owner for the project, the design, the concept, the guest experience, the location and the targeted markets.
We perform brand standards review in site visits during the pre-opening phase and also after opening.

Marketing
We conceive a marketing plan that will be based on the marketing philosophy brand experience of the property.
We craft content with a strong sense of identity of both the property and the destination and will recommend events focusing on history, art, fashion and music and other connections relevant to the property and destination.
We work with experts in the field, to create websites, promotional materials, direct email campaigns, and social media and digital marketing campaign strategies and services.
We prepare tailor-made plans to obtain adequate media exposure in the targeted markets and recommend public relations representation to achieve the targets. We accompany journalists on their press visits.
We arrange for photographers and assist them in ensuring photo shoots that will enhance the positioning and essence of the property.
SALES

We develop sales strategies that are comprehensive but feasible to implement for a boutique property.
We establish introduction to potential buyers in the global market looking for experiential travel and recommend possible participating in luxury trade shows (ILTM, PURE) either individually or through representation.
We identify and propose sales representatives or representation companies in the targeted markets.
We define specific strategies to reach direct customers in line with the marketing plan.
We assist in setting up management of sales channels (digital marketing management booking engine, OTA, GDS) with a concentration on performance and developing reservations & revenue management strategies and procedures.
Human Resources, Training & Coaching
We assist in the complete process of recruiting and hiring of staff, (complete process from talent identification, screen and assessments, interview and select, offer and hiring).
We provide guidance in the establishment of policies and procedures (company mission, rules and regulations, staff book, incentive program (based in KPI’s).
We develop talent through training and coaching (introductory, art of hospitality and guest philosophy, foundation and core, cross cultural, supervisor and management development, result oriented & financial hotel management, technical).
We offer individual tailormade coaching upon request.
Service Auditing
We perform audits that identify specific flaws in service and analyze what its consequences are for customer satisfaction and the financial performance.
We offer solutions to improve work processes and offer coaching that will specifically address the diagnosed service pitfalls.

We service existing properties in need of an overhaul, restoration, repositioning and/or relaunch.

We have created TD HOTELIERS, with the mission to use our rich, professional knowledge and versatile experiences to create customized concepts for discerning clients who desire to develop properties with their own unique identity.
We are seasoned boutique hoteliers who offer and implement custom-made business solutions and services to our international clientele.
Our international, comprehensive hotel management experience gives us a polished global perspective of the hospitality industry which we apply in our comprehensive proposals.
Our international exposure to the innovative and luxury segment of the hospitality industry has provided us with the capacity of developing concepts with a unique identity for each project. We embrace the integration of the geographic, historic and cultural surroundings, the design, the ambiance and the guest experience and always with great attention to details.
Veronique Timsonet
Belgium born, raised in a multi-cultural environment, trilingual Veronique is passionate about travel and discovering new cultures.
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics, Master’s degree in art history and archaeology with postgraduate studies in Literature & Pre-Hispanic cultures. After working four years as an archaeologist in the sites of the Mayan World, Veronique’s first exposure with luxury hotels was as Training Manager at the Hyatt Regency in Merida Yucatan.
In 1998, she was hired by GHM Hotels & Resorts, a sister company of Amanresorts, to direct the restoration project and opening of a historical hacienda in Mexico. Veronique was part of creating a total new hotel concept which offered an integrated unique guest experience. It received the “Best New Hotel Worldwide” award from Conde Nast Traveller.
During her seven years at Hacienda San José, Veronique actively participated in the neighboring community programs run by the Foundation of the Haciendas. For achieving the arrival of a new prosperity to the region, the foundation received the “Tourism for Tomorrow” award from the World Travel & Tourism Council in 2005.
When Starwood Luxury Collection took over The Haciendas from GHM in 2001, Veronique was appointed Regional Quality Manager, ensuring implementation of the innovative guest experience standards of operations across all properties through structured training programs.
Her career then brought her to Spain where she was in charge of another exceptional
restoration project and hotel opening by the Hospes Hotel Group, The Palacio de Bailio in Cordoba. The property was not only a destination in itself, as it was a hotel inside a museum, it promoted a unique experience alongside the rich culture and interesting sights of its destination Cordoba. It was recognized by the city as a factor for the growth of visitors to its city. Under her eight years of management, Veronique was runner up for the category of “Best General Manager” in the 2009 prestigious Hospitality Awards held in Paris.
Veronique was further part of the acquisition process by Hospes of the Hotel Lancaster, Paris, (including “La Table du Lancaster” in collaboration with Michel Troigros- 3 Michelin stars) and led the smooth transition and implementation of Hospes Hotels standards and procedures.
In 2015, Hospes asked Veronique to take over the management of its flagship property the Hospes Maricel & Spa Mallorca. For three years Véronique successfully managed the small palace that is one of Mallorca’s most iconic hotels and has a 500 m2 Spa operated under the brand “Cinq Mondes.” Under Veronique’s helm, the palazzo, dating from the 19th century, underwent an important restoration by the renowned architect Tomas Alia, bringing back the elegance that always has surrounded the Maricel.
Through her senior management positions in different countries and settings, Veronique achieved to make every property she managed into a financially successful enterprise of international recognition. A dedicated and passionate hotelier, she excels at developing projects with a vision for the future by using her great sense of style, eye for detail and her keen business skills.
Marieke Dijkhuis
Marieke, a seasoned, multilingual hospitality expert with over 25years experience in the luxury and innovative hotel industry, has assumed top management roles in renowned hotel groups such as Amanresorts, GHM Hotels & Resorts and Design Hotels.
General Manager from age 31, she has obtained extensive international experience having worked at some of the world’s most reputed properties and projects in a wide variety of locations from cosmopolitan cities to remote islands in Switzerland, Spain, The Netherlands, Thailand, The Philippines, Vietnam, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Peru and Morocco.
Business minded and a skilled sales and marketing strategist, Marieke positioned or repositioned the majority of the properties and projects under her responsibility and worked closely with key players of the international luxury travel industry.
Working with visionaries Adrian Zecha (founder of Amanresorts) and Claus Sendlinger (Founder of Design Hotels) exposed her to new hospitality concepts and management styles such as the“Aman Philosophy” which is all about creating the ultimate guest experience made possible by ultra-dedicated staff who provide unparalleled personalized service. At Design Hotels, she became familiar with their innovative marketing of new concepts such as the “Made by Originals” campaign that embraces a human-centric concept emphasizing the people behind the hotels.
Through her working periods at the remote island resort Amanpulo, the Haciendas in the Yucatan and Cuixmala, the 30,000acre private natural reserve founded by the late Sir James Goldsmith, she participated in nature preservation and local community projects. In the Yucatan, Marieke founded “Manos Mayas,” a self-sufficient small company that created a means of income for handicapped artisans by producing and promoting new designs handmade by the artisans.
Marieke, Dutch born, is a graduate of EHL, the Hotel School of Lausanne, Switzerland and the Cordon Blue Cooking School, Paris.
The wealth of experience and Marieke’s passion for genuine guest service integrated into any form of hospitality that embraces original and personalized concepts led to the formation of the partnership Td Hoteliers.
